A package was waiting for me when I came home from India. A camelia seed and a book from a dear friend. The book is one I had heard mentioned my several friends, but never read myself.
The book, written more than 50 years ago, spoke direktly to my heart. I know this book will not be tucked away in some hidden shelf, it will have its place on my desk where I can open it and read a few lines, or a few pages at any time.

Britt Arnhild, I read Gifts from the Sea several years ago, and I loved it! How are things these days, reading soulmate?
If you love diaries, then you must read all the books of Anne Morrow Lindbergh. I love her writing style. It is so natural, warm and deep minded, in other words, she was a wonderful (intelligent and empathic) women. "Gift from the Sea" I read when I was about 16 years old and I still remember some texts.
Have a nice advent Sunday with all your family!
Barbara
Hi Britt,
Just looking at your "Bookshelf" Gift From the Sea is one of my favorites. I have read it several times. I haven't read any other books by A. Lindbergh...but I will take Barbara's advice and read another.
One of those "touchstone" kinds of books for me. I read it for the first time years ago and have to dip back into it everyonce in awile. One of the few books I have two copies of... just in case.
